The project "Thermal efficiency improvement of poviat organizational units of the poviat of Iława" has come to a close. The project was subsidised with the resources of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009-2014/the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 under the PL04 programme "Energy saving and promoting renewable energy sources".
The ceremony of the successful completion of the project took place during the concluding conference on 11th April 2017 in the conference room of the Poviat Starosty in Iława. The conference was attended by the heads and employees of the poviat organizational units of the poviat of Iława, teachers of the schools covered by the project, a member of the poviat council, representatives of the construction works company, the supervision inspector, as well as students of the Complex of Schools of the Constitution of 3rd May in Iława. The guests received welcoming gifts - cotton carrying bags with the logos of the Norwegian funds and the coat of arms of the poviat - so as to promote the cooperation between the donators and beneficiaries of the financial support on the streets of the town
The conference was opened by the starost of the poviat of Iława, Mr Marek Polański. He expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the investment, which undoubtedly has an impact on the improvement in the studying conditions in poviat educational centres, i.e. in the Complex of Schools of the Constitution of 3rd May in Iława an the Irena Kosmowska Complex of Schools in Susz, and on the improvement of the working conditions in the Poviat Road Management in Iława and in the Poviat Starosty in Iława. Then, the project coordinator, Ms Iwona Sadowska, presented the sources of the financing of the project and the costs of its implementation, including the level of the subsidy. She reported on the purpose and scope of the works carried out within the investment. Benefits from the use of renewable energy sources and from the improvement in energy efficiency in the buildings which were covered by the project were presented by the energy auditor, Mr Tomasz Wróbel, who participated in the project. The project coordinator thanked all the guests for coming. On the close of the official part the participants were invited for a treat.
The investment would not have been possible without support from external funds. The project subsidised with the resources from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein contributes to a decrease in the economic and social differences in the European Economic Area.
